THE HOUSE RULES

Terms

Your work stays yours

You keep every right in the scripts you upload. Write Club stores them so other members can read and review them, and does nothing else with them — no licensing, no sale, no training of anything.

Who can read your script

The reviewer assigned to a battle it is in, and — if you leave the option on — any signed-in member when it reaches a leaderboard. You can turn that off per script at any time, and a signed-out visitor can never download anything. Titles, loglines and records are public.

Reviewing

Taking a pair is a commitment: you have 10 days, and each review needs at least 100 words about that script. Handing a pair back, or letting the clock run out, is a flag. 2 flags in 90 days suspends the account until an admin lifts it.

Reviews are anonymous both ways. Writing one you have not earned — notes that do not match the script, or anything a machine wrote — can have it removed and the vouchers taken back.

Contests

Entering costs vouchers and is final: once a script is entered it cannot be withdrawn, and archiving it forfeits the entry. If an admin cancels a contest, every entry in it is refunded at what it paid.

Limits, while this is a beta

10 active scripts per member. One review open at a time. Upload work you have the right to upload; anything else can be archived by an admin.

This is a beta

Things will change, and occasionally break. Keep your own copy of every script you upload — we take backups nightly, but your draft should never exist only here.
